We at Delightful Dogs are heartbroken over the recent death of the Yorkshire Terrier at a local pet store. Although it was a Husky that killed this dog, it is important to remember that all dogs are predatory by nature and aggression is not breed-specific. If dogs did not have the instinct to catch, kill and eat, they would not have survived long enough for us to domesticate them. All sizes and breeds have been known to kill animals smaller than themselves. To prevent such problems from occurring, a careful and thorough socialization and training program is in order, that's what we're here for. We would like to send our deepest condolences to the family who lost their beloved pet, and to ensure you that our classes are taught with prevention and safety in mind.

Our approach to dog training uses non-physical punishment, motivational based techniques that encourage dogs to think and problem-solve. This form of mental stimulation will eliminate stress, and builds respect and trust. Positive reinforcement training strengthens the dog-owner bond and creates "delightful dogs".

A classroom setting or private lessons are available. Our state of the art training facility with indoor rubber flooring provides an excellent opportunity for socialization and training with other dogs all the while ensuring comfort & safety. The building is big, bright, fully air conditioned, with lots of parking, large windows and is easily accessible from the expressway.
